Renowned for its archeological sites, sugar white sand beaches and mystical cenotes, the Riviera Maya is just as famous for its multi-cultural community, embracing travelers and their distinctive cuisines from all over the world. Nowhere is the affect of these diverse influences more evident than in the kitchens of our talented local chefs.

Taste of Playa promotes the unique cultural perspectives that fuel the passions and creativity of chefs in the Riviera Maya and offers the community a wonderful opportunity to sample their signature dishes. Taste of Playa is a fresh approach to community oriented events, one that brings positive exposure to local area restaurants and promotes Riviera Maya tourism. In its first year, 25 participating local restaurants, beverage vendors, a specialty food Marketplace and live music and is reported as an event is not to be missed!

2010 is sure to bring over 40 participants to the event to make this a bigger and more successful event than 2009.  Watch for the new attendees as we begin the planning for 2010.

Babe's Noodles and Bar is a Swedish owned Restaurant and Bar with specialty Thai noodles and a mixed European kitchen. Their home made sauces and eclectic menu is one of the more famous choices in Playa Del Carmen.
